Wallets

To use most of Lightiningbot's features, you need a wallet.

You can either generate a new wallet or import an existing one by navigating to /menu -> "👛Wallets" or simply using the /wallets command.

Generate a new Wallet Seed

Upon selecting to generate a new wallet seed, the bot will prompt you to name your wallet.

Once you provide a name, the bot will send you a message verifying the creation and encryption of the new wallet, which includes the address, private key, and mnemonic phrase. It is crucial to record your private key and/or mnemonic phrase in case you lose access to your Lightning.

You can use these keys to access your wallet through other Web3 wallet providers like Metamask and Trust Wallet.

All private keys are AES512 encrypted and only used when interacting with your LightningBot, similar to how Metamask authorises transactions.

After backing up your wallet, be sure to delete the message containing the keys for security purposes. This is to prevent situations where your Telegram account is compromised and a malicious actor gains access to your account, retrieving the keys from the message history.

After deleting the message, Lightning will never display your keys again.

Once you've created your wallet, you can select a chain and the following menu will appear:

From here, you can interact with every supported chain separately. Each wallet can be used on any chain the bot supports. Click on the button of your chain of interest and the following menu will appear:

You can choose a 'Main Wallet', specify the wallets included in your 'Multi Wallets', and modify the settings for each wallet individually. To interact with a specific wallet, click on the corresponding wallet name button, and a menu will be displayed with the following options:

From here, you can adjust your Wallet Settings, Send Native and Tokens or set up your Key Binds.
